Growing Sure Business to meet the needs of an ever-expanding selection of clients
by Nick Toon, Group Professional Services Director
Sure’s Business offering is fast cementing us as the most comprehensive managed IT solutions provider across the Crown Dependencies.
Our Professional Services team is at the heart of Sure Business. Our advisory and design consultants work with our clients and their technical teams to understand their IT needs, placing business outcomes first and creating solutions that support their goals and objectives.
Sure Business has grown its Professional Services team significantly since I joined, almost six years ago. We have amassed a strong client base, coming in all different sizes, and covering a wide range of industries including construction, retail, health, technology, utilities, and financial services.
To meet our clients’ ever-evolving needs, we have moved from the traditional service provider model into a bespoke provider that offers a tailored experience. We have achieved this by developing our engineering and consultancy teams through training and recruitment, and I am immensely proud of the team for diversifying our offering and giving our clients a more bespoke service.
Some of our Professional Services team are brand-new hires, reflecting Sure Business’ ongoing growth. Iain Davidson joined Sure as Head of Enterprise Products after a varied career, including senior IT roles within the financial services industry in Guernsey. Iain is responsible for overseeing the delivery of products and solutions to Sure’s extensive client base, as well as monitoring new developments in IT and managing how Sure continues to provide industry-leading solutions to meet its clients’ ever-evolving needs.
We also welcomed Marcus Stone to the team, as Enterprise Account Director. Marcus has over 25 years’ experience in telecommunications sales and marketing and has worked for industry leaders including Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland, Blackberry, and BT. Marcus’ role is client facing, as he works with customers to understand and assess which products and solutions are most appropriate for their business, based on his years of industry experience.
Sure Business also has roles specifically designed to cater to certain products and solutions. Michael Quittenden recently joined the business as Professional Services Consultant – Modern Workplace and Cloud. Leveraging over 20 years of experience in IT, Michael is at the forefront of delivering these solutions to new and existing clients and translating the technicalities of a Cloud-first strategy and modern workplace solutions into language that can be understood by all.
Iain, Marcus, and Michael join our other highly engaged professional team members in Sure Business, all of whom are passionate about providing our clients with the very best, “all-in-one” IT offering across the Crown Dependencies.
The team is supported by our investment into on and off-island technology that helps connect our communities and local businesses around the world. We have recently invested into 100GB international connectivity that ensures that capacity for businesses and consumers is readily available, and our services are future proofed. This comes in addition to our advanced local data centres and offshore private and public cloud platform.
Add to these Sure’s vast array of managed IT services, modern workplace, network, unified communications, and cybersecurity solutions, and you have the only provider in the Crown Dependencies that can deliver such an all-encompassing end-to-end service.
Sure Business provides clients of all sizes with the bespoke service they need to digitise their business offering. We are consistently evolving to keep up with the latest technology and offer our clients the most comprehensive selection of IT solutions and products available.
